Introduction
Broadband speeds have changed over the past few years, but how the service is provided hasn't changed much at all.
Earth Broadband is one of the UK's first green broadband providers, changing the way people use broadband for good.
In 2022, Luke Chapman founded Earth Broadband after witnessing the damaging effects of climate change on a trip across Indonesia.
After working in the broadband industry for several years, Luke didn’t think enough was being done to support climate action, and he was inspired to change that.
Luke invented a way to make broadband fun, introducing never-seen-before wildlife-themed packages and making it easy for people to give back to the planet every month by using it.
Earth Broadband’s new approach means customers plant trees and remove ocean plastic every month through our app, which also uses the latest AI technology taking customer service to the next level.
Substantial accomplishments to date
* We have just hit over 2.5k registrations!
* We've been making lots of noise in the press from places like BBC News and the Daily Echo, to name a few.
* We built our own operating system, enabling better customer experience and more control.
* Our first NED and investor joined the team, who has experience scaling customer bases in the utilities industry.
* Our second NED, founded one of the largest broadband providers in the UK.
* We welcomed two new Angel Investors.
* Hundreds of customers rated us Excellent (4.5/5) on Trustpilot since day one.
Monetisation strategy
Earth Broadband aims to create a new way forward, allowing our relatively small team to accomplish what large providers do with teams of thousands.
Revenue streams:
* Monthly broadband subscriptions: We have rolled out three wildlife-themed plans for our customers. Our lowest plan offers us a 28% margin, and our highest plan offers a 58% margin!
* Monthly voice subscriptions
* TV add-ons
* Climate action subscriptions: We are rolling out additional subscription plans, allowing customers to increase their impact around the world.
We aim to enhance our revenue streams through:
* Roll out additional climate action subscriptions on our app.
* Introduce customer loyalty points to spend on products in our sustainable store or other climate projects.
* Maintain a tight relationship with comparison websites and other affiliates.
* Grow our presence on social media and engage with sustainable influencers.
