Recent legislative changes mean Danish private limited companies (ApS) can now fundraise on Republic Europe, opening up investment opportunities for all.
For the First Time in History
For the first time in history, Danish ApS companies (Anpartsselskaber) can tap into the power of community fundraising to fuel their growth. A groundbreaking legislative change, coming into effect on 1st January 2025, has removed restrictions that previously prevented ApS companies from publicly raising funds. This opens the door for businesses to access everyday investors and smaller ticket investments, creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs and communities alike.
Why This Matters
Traditionally, ApS companies faced barriers when it came to raising public funds. But now, these private limited companies can share their vision with a broader audience and attract investment from individuals who believe in their mission. This marks a significant shift in Denmark’s investment landscape and provides a springboard for innovation and growth.
At Republic Europe, we’re thrilled to embrace this change. This new opportunity not only democratises access to early-stage investments but also enables us to support exciting deals with companies that weren’t previously able to work with us.
Introducing the ApS Cohort
To celebrate this pivotal change, we’re kicking off 2025 with the launch of some fantastic businesses from the ApS Cohort.
