We are very happy to share the update that on the 10th of July 2024, Seedrs – Europe’s leading private investing platform and provider of equity crowdfunding services over the last 12 years – will officially start trading as Republic Europe.

As we continue to evolve, our name may change, our colours may change, but we remain committed to empowering the most ambitious investors in Europe.

What is happening?

On the 10th of July 2024, Seedrs – Europe’s leading private investing platform and provider of equity crowdfunding services over the last 12 years – will officially start trading as Republic Europe. This means that from the 10th of July 2024 Republic Europe (formerly Seedrs) will be the new identity of the European operation of Republic’s Global Equities Marketplace – a product that serves both retail, sophisticated and HNW customers and is one of the most active primary issuance and secondary trading platforms in the world. Republic Europe will continue to enable individuals to invest in startups, growth companies, and, if eligible, leading VC funds, as well as support ambitious entrepreneurs in all sectors to raise capital from their communities, angels and institutional investors.

When is it happening?

From the 10th of July 2024 the Seedrs business will officially start trading as Republic Europe, part of Republic – an ecosystem of Web3 optimised financial services built upon a globally compliant investment infrastructure to support micro-transactions on an unprecedented scale.

Will this mean you’re able to bring U.S. businesses to the platform?

Republic Europe is already the only platform where a business can raise in the UK, U.S. and Europe simultaneously. While this is purely a change of name and there are no operational changes, it does herald the future of private investing in which Republic Europe will play a critical role in unlocking private markets for investors and institutions across the globe.

Why will I still see Seedrs in some places?

After the 10th of July, as the business adopts its new trading name, Republic branding will start to appear across the company’s website and emails. However; some legacy of the Seedrs brand will still remain, such as our legal entity name, Seedrs Limited, or its investment infrastructure, for example, the Seedrs Nominee.

Are fees changing?

No, no fees are changing.
