Methane drives 30% of global warming, trapping ~80x more heat than CO2. Over two thirds of global emissions are too dilute to burn or capture: a massive unsolved climate challenge. Sixteen44 has proven an innovative technology that destroys these emissions and aims to remove 1 million tonnes by 2035.

Market Opportunity

The methane abatement market is set to reach $45B by 2032 (15% CAGR). Corporate buyers already pay $150-500+ per tonne for tech-based carbon removals. With each tonne of methane delivering ~80x the climate impact of CO2, Sixteen44 sits at the intersection of massive demand and outsized impact.

Traction & Key Accomplishments

Sixteen44 has secured prestigious grants from the Swiss Climate Foundation and SPEI, plus loans from Venture Kick and FIT. Our catalyst activates at temperatures an order of magnitude lower than state-of-the-art, and we've scaled production to kilogram quantities. We've filed a patent at the European Patent Office, signed an LOI for deployment at natural gas facilities, and have confirmed interest from Swiss dairy farmers for on-site installation.

Use of Funds

Your investment helps scale our technology from demonstration to deployment, starting at Swiss farms in 2026, delivering real methane removal by the tonne. The company has an outstanding loan of £95,252.00 with 0% interest, which was drawn down on 08.04.2025. From 05.05.2028 this will be repaid in installments of CHF 4,700 every 3 months. At maturity (05.02.2032) the remaining CHF 25,000 + a success fee of CHF 25,000 will be repaid. Alternatively if there is an exit prior to the maturity date, CHF 25,000 worth of the loan will be considered as equity at the first equity round of the company after the loan. They are paid at the same value they would have as equity at the time of an exit.

The funds raised in this round will not be used to repay this loan.
