Opportunity
Wet biogenic waste, from food processing, farms and industrial waste streams, is a disposal cost and a methane source. Existing treatment recovers little of its energy value. RiPR uses supercritical water reforming to convert that waste into biomethane, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and biochar, in modular units built for deployment at source. RiPR's gas outputs are also the direct feedstocks required for methanol synthesis, giving Equisera a route to commercialise: maritime bio-methanol, the second most common alternative fuel in the global vessel orderbook.
