About the Campaign
Salcombe Dairy is a family-owned business which has been making award-winning ice cream in Devon for over 45 years. To balance seasonality, we also make artisan chocolate, as premium gifting for Christmas & Easter. Everything we make is 100% natural, nut free, gluten free, egg and palm oil free.
Market Opportunity
Our business, selling 2.5 million scoops of ice cream per year has grown 306% organically since 2010 to £2.75M turnover.
The UK Artisanal Ice Cream market was valued at $583.8 Million in 2022, and is projected to reach $1,296.8 Million by 2032 growing at a CAGR of 8.36% from 2023 to 2032 (Apollo).
Traction & Key Accomplishments
Salcombe Dairy is a well-known brand serving 120,000 customers per year in our own five shops, as well as wholesale customers including Singapore Airlines, Hall & Woodhouse pubs, and a major hotel. Our online retail of ice cream and chocolate by post has grown from zero to £97K p.a since 2020, tracking 30% growth YOY. Our Devon retail shops have grown 180% over the past 6 years.
Use of Funds
We have opened five profitable shops in Devon over the past ten years. With your investment, we can open shops in premium locations with much higher year round footfall like Bath & Oxford.
We will also invest in generating traffic to our website through ads which we have not had funds for.
