How it works

The Secondary Market offers a simple, peer-to-peer process for buying and selling shares in private businesses.

Please note, whilst we’re in beta, expect ongoing changes and improvements.

Buying

Choose sell offers

First come, first served. 2% transaction fee

Make the payment

Pay instantly by card or investment funds, and the seller will be notified of your interest via email.

Approval and sign

Both you and the seller need to finalise the transfer by signing the beneficial ownership agreement.

You get the shares

Once the payment has cleared the shares will be transferred to your portfolio.

Selling

Post your shares to be sold

You can set your own sale price. The share lot value must be at least £/€20 and cannot exceed £/€25,000.

Eligibility check

We'll check whether the shares are eligible to be sold and let you know.

Confirm the sale

You will be notified when a buyer expressed an interest. You will need to finalise the agreement and agree to the transfer.

You get paid

Proceeds from the transfer will be deposited straight into your investment account, less the carry and transaction fees.
